Welcome to our school

Welcome to St Jude’s Church of England Primary school, from Sue James, Interim Headteacher

It is a great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to St Jude’s Church of England Primary School.

I am delighted to be returning to St Jude’s as Interim Headteacher. Having had the privilege of leading the school previously, St Jude’s holds a very special place in my heart. From the moment I first joined this community, I was struck by the warmth of our families, the enthusiasm of our children, and the dedication and professionalism of our staff team. The spirit of St Jude’s truly captured my heart, and I feel incredibly grateful to be back continuing this journey with you all.

St Jude’s is a warm, caring, and supportive school family where education is built on strong partnerships between children, staff, governors, parents, carers, the church, and our wider network.

Working closely alongside our Senior Leadership Team and governors, our priority is and always will be the happiness, wellbeing, and achievement of every single child.

At the very heart of school life is our vision:

Our children
Our St Jude’s Family
Happy – Inspired – Loved
Learning in the footsteps of Jesus
the sky is not the limit
ready for today – prepared for tomorrow

This is far more than just words on a page; it is a vision lived out every day in our classrooms, on the playground, and through the strong, compassionate relationships that define our school. Guided by this foundation, we strive to provide an environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

While we are proud of our Church of England heritage and Christian ethos, we warmly welcome families of all faiths and none. We view our diversity as one of our greatest strengths, celebrating the rich cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives that make our school family so unique

Our website offers a glimpse into life at St Jude’s, but there is no substitute for seeing our school in action. I encourage families to visit us, meet our wonderful pupils and staff team, and experience first hand the joyful, ambitious, and nurturing environment that makes St Jude’s such a special place to learn and grow.
