We have a range of enriching extra-curricular opportunities for our children to get involved in. This includes our Leadership Groups, which the children can apply for each year.
Our School Council is made up of two – three children from each class from years 2 to 6. They meet regularly during term time to debate issues such as school meals, playground equipment, school uniform and other things of importance to the children.
Our Faith Group is made up of two – three children from each class from years 2 to 6. They meet regularly during term time and are involved in planning and leading Collective Worship at school and at Church across the year. They also give our staff ideas on how we can live out our Core Christian Values every single day.
Our Wellbeing Ambassadors are made up of two – three children from each class from years 3 to 6. They meet regularly during term time to discuss how to support the wellbeing of our school community. They work alongside children in our school and meet with Wellbeing Ambassadors in the schools in the Windmill Cluster to share great ideas and strategies for ensuring we feel Happy, Inspired and Loved.
Our Librarians are made up of two – three children from each class from years 3 to 6. They work as a team to ensure that class libraries are up-to-date, accessible for all and relevant for our children. They also help at key events during ghe year, such as when the Book Fair visits the school!
Our Chicken Champions are made up of two – three children from each class from years 3 to 6. They are instrumental in looking after and caring for our resident chickens in our Nature Garden. The children are trained up and tend to our chickens every day. Their role includes cleaning out the coup, collecting eggs, topping up the food and filling up their water.
